About

I’m a scientist excited about the future of humanity and the role life science has to play in it. I’m particularly passionate about developing therapies that cure and prevent disease instead of our current model of healthcare.

I’ve worked in CRISPR for the last decade and I got my PhD from UC Berkeley in Jennifer Doudna’s lab and then cofounded Mammoth Biosciences with her to address the root cause of genetic disease. There I’ve built and operate the therapeutics business where we’re developing gene editing therapies for diseases in vivo.

I do investing as partner and cofounder of Scifounders to help more deep technical companies get started that have technical founders leading the companies.
